The Foundation and Creation of Solaroma
Solaroma lies in the heart of Cathar Country located in the South of France on a very sacred place called Domaine de Castillou.
Domaine de Castillou - Luc sur Aude
It was once owned by the Archbishop of Alet Les Bains where they grew
sacred medicinal plants. At this time Solaroma continues on this path
of growing organic medicinal plants such as Rosemary, Thyme, Sage,
Lavender and Roses as some of their organic ingredients used in their
natural and organic cosmetic formulations.
These formulations were developed by the well renowned alchemist and
author Fabrice Bardeau who was one of the first people to develop
natural cosmetics based on using essential oils. He founded Solaroma in
1975. Fabrice retired in 2003 at which time Lorrie Hargis became the
new director.
Lorrie’s background as registered Aromatherapist, developer and
consultant of Aromatherapy products and author of “Common Scents a
Practical Guide to Aromatherapy,” has allowed her to incorporate these
modalities into Solaroma’s philosophy and new product development.
Our Mission
Our mission at Solaroma is to create natural and organic conscience
minded cosmetics based on aromatic plants and essential oils that bring

your mother earth.
