Our Society
The Foundation and Creation of SolaromaSolaroma lies in the heart of Cathar Country located in the South of France on a very sacred place called Domaine de Castillou.  Domaine de Castillou - Luc sur Aude
It was once owned by the Archbishop of Alet Les Bains where they grewsacred medicinal plants. At this time Solaroma continues on this pathof growing organic medicinal plants such as Rosemary, Thyme, Sage,Lavender and Roses as some of their organic ingredients used in theirnatural and organic cosmetic formulations.
These formulations were developed by the well renowned alchemist andauthor Fabrice Bardeau who was one of the first people to developnatural cosmetics based on using essential oils. He founded Solaroma in1976. Fabrice retired in 2003 at which time Lorrie Hargis became thenew director.Lorrie’s background as registered Aromatherapist, developer andconsultant of Aromatherapy products and author of “Common Scents aPractical Guide to Aromatherapy,” has allowed her to incorporate thesemodalities into Solaroma’s philosophy and new product development.
